20th Anniversary of Incorporation
The year 2023 marks the 20th year of the City of Spokane Valley's incorporation, a milestone worthy of recognition. Residents, businesses, stakeholders and visitors are invited to celebrate the city's past, present and future throughout the year.
Upcoming Events
Valleyfest
Valleyfest is scheduled Sept. 22-24 at CenterPlace Regional Event Center, Mirabeau Point Park, Plante's Ferry Sports Complex and other venues. Learn more about 2023 Valleyfest.
Look for an enhanced city booth on Saturday, Sept. 23, on the West Lawn Plaza at CenterPlace, 2426 N Discovery Place. The city will celebrate its first 20 years along with the Spokane Valley Heritage Museum, featuring historical displays, a time capsule and games! Take a photo in the photo booth or a selfie in front of the mobile anniversary display. Spokane Cornhole will provide eight boards and we will have cornhole with the cops off and on during the day. Nearby, Valleyfest will have food trucks, a wine/beer garden and live music beginning at 11 a.m.
Join us for a more formal celebration of the city's 20th anniversary about 5 p.m. on the Plaza. The program is expected to last about 30 minutes and will include recognition of current and former elected officials, 20th Anniversary Committee members, birthday cake and other festivities.
The city is sponsoring two bands that same evening to keep the party rolling: The Kevin Shay Band at 5:30 p.m. and Nu Jack City at 8 p.m. Come and celebrate with us!
