Celebration of Lights Tree Lighting

Join Santa and his elves for some festive holiday fun!
- Tree lighting with visit from Santa and live reindeer
- Walking light parade
- Musical entertainment by Opportunity Elementary School choir and University High School band
- Storytime with Santa and selfie booth at the library
- Robotics & light demo by Spokane Valley Tech students
- Hot chocolate and food trucks
- Food and new book drive
Wear your light-up festive wear and follow Santa and the University High School Drumline through Balfour Park in the walking light parade!
Bring a new book of any genre to donate to Sun City Church's Gift of Hope book drive. All books will be donated to local schools.
Donate to the food drive, as the elves will be collecting non-perishable food at the event.
Parking is available at Balfour Park and across the street at Spokane Valley City Hall.

The $7.50 per person ticket includes a warm pancake breakfast, crafts, games and a visit with Santa.

Spokane Valley Winter Market

The City and Spokane Valley Farmers Market are teaming up to put on the annual Spokane Valley Winter Market! Admission is free and vendor space is available for a fee. Find gifts from local small businesses and vendors selling holiday wares. Attendees can enjoy a signature drink at the beer garden by LeCatering, festive music, and kids' crafts. Don’t miss a free photo opportunity with Santa on Saturday!

Letters from Santa
Did you know the Parks and Recreation Department has a direct line to the North Pole? Families can register for the program to receive a personalized letter from Santa Claus himself. This unique opportunity is open for participants of all ages and would be a festive gift for someone special in your life. Mark your calendars—the registration deadline is Dec. 12!
