You Rock! Community Recognition Program

Every day, extraordinary people do awesome things in our community. Let’s recognize and celebrate those actions. Here’s how the program works.

  1. Notice someone doing something great in Spokane Valley.
  2. Tell us about it by submitting an online nomination form.
  3. The Mayor, Deputy Mayor and one Councilmember will review and evaluate all nominations and select a winner.
  4. The winning nomination will be recognized and presented with the You Rock! award at a City Council meeting and a plaque with their name will be installed in the (you guessed it!) rock garden in front of City Hall.

Eligibility

To be eligible for recognition through this program, the nominee must be a citizen/resident or employee or owner/operator of a business within the city limits of Spokane Valley. Anyone may submit a nomination. 

Nominations

To make a nomination, please complete a You Rock! Community Recognition Program nomination form below.  

The nomination form will be submitted through the city clerk and reviewed and evaluated by the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and a Councilmember. Once submitted, the information entered becomes a public record and is subject to public disclosure.
