Permitting
Spokane Valley Permit Center
Fast, Simplified Permitting
Spokane Valley has developed a streamlined permitting process that fits the needs of local business owners and citizens. To ensure efficiency as well as environmental safety, the city's highly trained, multi-disciplined technical review staff is available to help clients navigate the permit process and provide innovative solutions. Additionally, Spokane Valley regularly evaluates regulations to ensure the city is utilizing a common sense approach.
All commercial projects, including new developments, are assigned a 10-business-day target review date. However, many permits for commercial and residential projects can be issued both online and over the counter by our skilled International Code Council-certified front counter staff. Hear what businesses have to say about working with teh city's Permit Center to move projects forward quickly and efficiently.
Use Our Online Permit Portal
The city's online permit portal allows contractors and residents to apply for building and other construction-related permits online. The portal is available 24/7. Permit fees can be paid online and in many cases, permits can also be issued and printed online. The portal is easy to use, efficient and saves users time.
