SPOKANE VALLEY, WA—The BeethoVAN, Spokane Symphony's mobile concert stage, is traveling to Spokane Valley to host a free community concert. The Summer Solstice event is on Friday, June 20 at 8:20 p.m. at Mirabeau Meadows at Mirabeau Point Park, located at 13500 E Mirabeau Pkwy in Spokane Valley.
Everyone is invited to celebrate summer with a free sunset concert featuring the sublime sounds of a string trio and harp played by musicians from the Spokane Symphony. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and watch the sunset in the beautiful outdoor setting while a small ensemble performs from the BeethoVAN.
“The Spokane Symphony is passionate about bringing the power of music to everyone in our community,” shared Spokane Symphony Director of Education and Community Engagement and Acting Associate Concertmaster Jason Moody. “Through a grant from the Hagan Foundation, the Spokane Symphony's BeethoVAN provides a mobile concert stage for our musicians to connect with audiences in unique settings throughout the Inland Northwest, and we are thrilled to perform in Spokane Valley.”
“Parks and open spaces are vital for our community’s well-being, offering opportunities for recreation, relaxation and connection with nature," said City of Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation Director John Bottelli. "Hosting this pop-up concert in such a beautiful setting allows us to bring people together to enjoy live music, foster community connections and enhance the quality of life for our residents. It’s a perfect way to celebrate summer and the outdoors.”
