People working together to increase results

City accepting applications for economic development and social services grants

The City of Spokane Valley is accepting applications for $200,000 in grants for organizations supporting 2024 economic development activities and social service efforts that directly benefit the citizens of Spokane Valley until Aug. 11.

To be considered for funding, non-profit 501(c)(3) or (6) agencies must complete an online application and submit basic information about the organization, a brief statement of the organization’s purpose and background, a description of the project or activity for which funding is requested, organizational and project budgets, and additional supporting documents. Grant applications and any additional presentation materials must be submitted through the online application found on the Grant Funding webpage on the City’s website. The deadline to submit applications is 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. No materials will be accepted after the deadline. 

Each applicant will be allotted 3-5 minutes to present their proposal at the Sept. 19 City Council meeting at 6 p.m. at CenterPlace Regional Event Center in Spokane Valley. City Council will likely determine award of funds on Oct. 24. 

To participate, please follow the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) guidelines and instructions and submit the online grant application located at www.spokanevalleywa.gov/190/Grant-Funding-Opportunities.
